A little slice of Valle de Guadalupe, Mexico right here in Oceanside, California!
I’ve been looking forward to the opening of this restaurant for quite some time now and since I haven’t had a chance to explore Baja, Mexico’s ever growing wine region yet, this is definitely the next best thing!
As you walk into the restaurant, your attention immediately gravitates to the large fireplace on the center right wall that perfectly compliments the intimate and cozy atmosphere. We luckily snagged a table right next to the fireplace and I honestly could have sat there all night enjoying the wonderful Valle-forward wine list.
Now let’s talk food. Chef @alcocerroberto has created a truly special menu that showcases the incredible flavors of Baja. There is plenty of fresh seafood, unique preparation of meats and multiple vegetarian options that even had me raising my eyebrows in interest.
The dishes that really stood out to me were the spiny lobster quiche, the snake river trout and the rabbit confit taco.
Tarta de Langosta - very unique in that the filling was like that of lobster bisque making the dish rich yet delicate at the same time.
Trucha - am I the only that didn’t know this fish was orange? I was pleasantly surprised by the mild flavor of this fish. Accompanied with the pear and coconut, this dish gave me sophisticated ceviche vibes which I throughly enjoyed.
Taco de Conejo - simply incredible. This is a must order! The perfect amount of crisp and juicy flavor all wrapped up in a homemade tortilla. This is the crème de la crème of tacos.

Spiced Chocolate Ganache
Thank you Valle for such an incredible dinner and experience. You have truly created something special here in Oceanside. I look forward to coming back as the menu changes to try more of your creations!

I’ve said it in the past, and I’ll say it agai

I’ve said it in the past, and I’ll say it again. The Fishery in Pacific Beach is hands down my favorite seafood restaurant in San Diego.
I know that’s a bold statement with so many seafood restaurants around but this restaurant is the only one I’ve found so far that is consistent, has the best quality (the fish is coming straight off the boat each day) and has a wonderful staff and atmosphere that ties it all together into one perfect package.
I’ve been dining here since my days living in Pacific Beach in 2015. Now that I’m in North County I unfortunately don’t get to make it down as often as I would like but I try to make it a point to return for special occasions.
This Valentines Day tasting menu chef @mikereidy_ created was spectacular. Every course surprised me in the best way possible. I mean that egg with caviar? Amazing. The gnocchi with truffle? Melt in your mouth fantastic.
I love their regular day to day menu but I really hope they throw in more of these tasting menus in the coming months. I love seeing the creativity and the chance to try something a little different!
If you haven’t been to The Fishery yet, I highly recommend you put this at the top of your list and snag yourself a reservation!

Now I’ve already shared my favorite restaurant in Paso Robles so today I thought I’d share my favorite hotel! Located just a block from Paso Robles’ town square, and about a 5 minute walk from Les Petites Canailles, sits the ever so charming Hotel Cheval.
With only 16 rooms (soon expanding across the street), this luxury boutique hotel welcomes you with open arms from the moment you walk through the front door. I’ve honestly never met such friendly and warm staff in my life. They truly make your stay one of a kind.
Each room is cleverly named after a horse that has left its mark in history so you’ll definitely recognize a few if not all of them! The rooms are all furnished and designed with ultimate comfort in mind. The bed and linens are extra cozy, the robes are so magnificent that I actually purchased one and the fireplace adds that special touch that really brings everything together.
Hotel Cheval also offers a candy bar located in their library and wait for it, a s’mores butler! Yes, you read that right. Each night you can sit in the courtyard where there’s multiple fireplaces and choose a s’more from the menu to be made for you. Talk about heaven! I mean, I definitely enjoy making my own s’mores but sometimes it’s best to leave it to a professional 😉.
I don’t even know where to begin with breakfast. It’s incredible. Breakfast is included with your room rate and there’s plenty of options to choose from. Just swipe until you find the photo of my breakfast plate. That portion of avocado should speak for itself. Amazing.
I’ve stayed at Hotel Cheval twice now and I can definitely say it’ll be our go-to whenever we’re in town which might be frequent now that I’ve discovered this gem! Our first visit was in December so keep swiping to see how they decorate for the holidays. I honestly can’t recommend this property enough!

I’ve been frequenting the Central California coa

I’ve been frequenting the Central California coast for business and pleasure lately and I have to say, I have fallen in love with the cute little town of Paso Robles. The food, the wine, the people, it’s all just so charming!
The food has been one of the more surprising finds in Paso and my absolute favorite is Les Petites Canailles or “LPC” as the locals call it. Located right in the heart of downtown, LPC dishes out classic French cuisine and boasts some amazing cuts of meat.
I dined here for the first time in December and was blown away by the experience. The restaurant is bright and welcoming with an open kitchen concept. Both locals and tourists dine here and while the restaurant is more upscale, I appreciated how laid back and comfortable the staff were.
I’m already looking forward to our next trip and dinner here next month! Keep a look out in my stories!

Take me back to island life!! ☀️🌴
This past November was my second visit to the super secluded Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa and the visits just keep getting better and better!
The seclusion, the amazing food and staff, their sustainable efforts and of course some killer World of Hyatt redemption rates, this property is number one on my list of favorite properties in the Maldives.
Now let’s just hope it’s not another four years between visits! Stocking up on World of Hyatt points as we speak 😉.

Let’s catch up on posting to the feed! 😅 Starting with some of my favorite eats and drinks at the Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa.
During our stay in November, we had the half-board dining option which was one of the perks when we purchased that epic Travel Zoo voucher for our 5-night stay. This included:
Breakfast - Two menu items + buffet at The Dining Room
Dinner - 3-course meal at The Dining Room
Let’s just say, we were VERY well fed here. Portions were surprisingly quite large and the quality and taste were exquisite. I ate the red curry for dinner multiple nights 😂. It was that good.
During the day, we would head to The Bar by the main pool and snack on some appetizers and refreshing cocktails! Sanjita is the best bartender and the sweetest human alive. We remembered her from our previous trip in 2017 and we’re so glad she’s still at the Hyatt!
We also dined at their third restaurant, The Island Grill where we slipped our feet into the sand floor and enjoyed an incredible seafood meal. Unfortunately their Japanese restaurant, Koi @ The Draft wasn’t open yet but we look forward to dining here next trip!
I remember the food being amazing in 2017 and in 2021, during a pandemic I might add, it was just as delicious! I’m seriously impressed with their consistency and attention to detail when it comes to dining. I can’t wait to come back rave about the food a third time!
